BREWING

Different recipes of TÖRST soda require different handling in order to extract and preserve the natural flavours - we shred citrus fruit, purée berries and macerate spices to extract their aromas. To retain the natural and often delicate aromas of our ingredients we extract as gently as possible, at cold temperatures and with low processing.

The ingredients are further mixed with cold and fresh water from a local glacial esker – a geological formation, found in the formerly glaciated regions of the Nordics – famous for its ability to filter and provide exceptionally clean and high-quality water. After blending, the soda is finally carbonated, sampled and controlled before heading on to the bottling and packaging stage.

We brew our sodas on Värmdö - located in the archipelago, east of Stockholm. Setting up production locally and brewing our sodas in Sweden has been the obvious choice from start – with good availability of clean water, good recycling availabilities, clean and reliable power supply as well as matching our values of supporting local communities.

BOTTLING & PACKAGING

TÖRST sodas are filled into glass bottles using a top of the line counter-pressure filler, where low levels of dissolved oxygen ensure a vibrant-coloured and fresh-tasting product. The bottles are pasteurized gently and at low temperature which guarantees a stable product yet still retains the freshness of its natural ingredients.

Finished bottles of TÖRST sodas are finally labelled, dated and packaged – all in a continuous and well-coordinated packaging line. Particular care has been put into a packaging which not only evokes interest and protects the product, but also is considered from a sustainability perspective.
